I searched for a solution so sorry if it's been addressed.

Does anyone know how to be notified if an Xbox friend sends me a message or chat/play invite. Not for mobile wp8 Xbox games, for the console desktop.

I'm able to see messages from my phone if I navigate into Xbox live app, but if I'm not notified of new activity then that doesn't do much good.

I tried to set a games hub live tile but that doesn't seem to show messages either. Can't find the option in menus. Please tell me I'm missing something!

Camn it be done? I don't get many things sent, so never cropped up.

I don't use it much either but would use it more if this would work. I can send Xbox messages from the phone and see my family's activity if I go look. But no notifications.... That seems like an oversight.
