I heard that there's an official Microsoft rechargeable battery pack that can be used with the Play and Charge Kit, and another one that's only a "shell" battery compartment that you attach to your controller and use normal disposable batteries for it. Which kind of battery pack is included when you buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller?

When you buy a controller, you get the shell to put 2 AA batteries into.

There are a few controllers though that are bundled with a play and charge kit though, those would include a rechargeable battery.
