I'm creating this thread so when a new device comes out, wpcentral can post a forum. Because sometimes when a new product is announced (example, the lumia 822), the forum didn't come out till someone asked like 2 weeks later. So post away when new things come out that deserve to have a forum!!

Okay WPCentral, we need a forum on Windows RT. I know there is a forum for the surface rt and other rt tablets, but a Windows RT forum is necessary.

I'd like to see one about the Lenovo Yoga 13 (and I guess the 11 as well).

Actually, maybe a section of Windows 8 touchscreen laptops or something, with sub sections for Dell, Asus, Acer, Lenovo, etc. Then the specific devices such as the XPS 12, or the Yoga, or the Zenbook series, etc.
I know, that's a lot of devices to manage, and is way too much to ask, but a guy can dream... - 01-24-2013, 12:29 PM #9Want to know the truth about Windows Phone:

Nokia Lumia 510 please? And could you fix the ones that have the thread title lumia to nokia lumia? Because some have lumia and some have nokia lumia.

So, is that a "no" to the option of more Windows 8 devices being added?

Dave, instead of it being other windows 8 tablets, can it be other windows 8 devices?

Sorry to bother you again Dave, but may we have a Microsoft store area?

- 02-10-2013, 08:56 PM #15
We are still thinking on this one. Forging out our identity as a mobile device website and still adequately cover all the new Microsoft devices is becoming a challenge. What's in... what's out... why? I'm not saying no just we need to think this one through.
Never a bother...never ever. Stuff like this is why I am here. I will add the MS Windows 8 store to the list of things to ponder. Again we are trying to be a Mobile site you know phones and tablets that kind of thing... but wait don't Windows tablets use the Windows 8 store? I'm so confused...

The Nokia Lumia 521 would be useful to have.

Don't iMore have a section for things like MacBooks? Even if they don't, laptops could be considered a mobile Windows device, if you think about it. However tablets definitely need to be in. Just how do we distinguish between a tablet and a laptop, given there are touch-screen laptops coming out?

I'm all for creating new forums... provided we're confident we can get some real good discussion going. Perhaps we could put together a hitlist of devices we don't have forums for here at the Windows Phone Forums, and Dave and I can take a look...
We're ALWAYS open to your suggestions for new forums, new features, ANYTHING... so have at it.

I like how there are subforums now in the Apps/Games forums for vendor exclusive apps/games.

I see the list under Windows 8 tablets is slowly growing. One for HP Envy X2 please?

We had it that way before and changed it. I wasn't happy with the change at the time but now I think this looks better and more streamlined.
Here is what I am thinking. I don't want try to make a device forum for very laptop that comes out. We will end up with a bunch of dead areas. I do think that Microsoft will continue to bring the laptop, phone, and tablet OS's closer together. I think we are probably no more than 2 generations away from having the same OS on all three devices. I think this is the grand plan for Microsoft. We need to start thinking this way and adjusting forums content accordingly. Maybe adding the Windows 8 store would be a good idea.
We can all thank lak611 for that it was her suggestion.Want to know the truth about Windows Phone:

Agreed. I think if the team here notices a critical mass of posts and interest in a device, it's time to light up a new forum.
