I kinda feel like subscribing to threads should be simpler. Right now, in order to subscribe you have to press the subscribe button, choose your method of notification, and then confirm it. There should at least be an option so the subscribe button is 1-click. And if that happens, you can set the preferred method of notification so it is remembered. Or maybe it's just that I'm too lazy going through 2 steps :)
Anyways, just a suggestion. Thanks! - 11-29-2012, 10:20 PM #2
If you go to your profile and edit settings, then to My Account. In general settings you can scroll down to default subscription mode and change "do not subscribe" to one of the other options and then save your settings. Then you will not have to click twice to subscribe to a thread.

Laura,
'Instantly, via Email' should now be the default selection. We've eliminated one click :)James Falconer

I don't see a way to subscribe to front page article threads at all. Am I missing something? See here for example:

I have the opposite problem. When I am in a thread that I am subscribed to, and I want to unsubscribe from that thread, there is no option under 'thread tools' to unsubscribe from thread. The only option is subscribe to thread, even though I am already subscribed.
