    I am unable to edit a post in Chrome, when I open the thread in IE it's fine.

    In chrome when I click EDIT I get a spinning clock icon and then nothing, on IE the editor opens.

    Try clearing your cache, cookies, etc... Had this same issue along with some others that were fixed.
