    I noticed "meta" is no longer present in the forums since the upgrade.

    Is this forum the replacement for "meta"?

    Yes. Meta was a stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid forum name that didn't make sense to anybody. We got rid of the guy who originally came up with that name, and now we've fixed it across all our sites. :)

    I never understood where the name "meta" came from, but I never questioned it, since it was around when I first joined wpcentral.

    This is a much better name. Everyone will understand what this forum is about.
