Hello,
I'd like to present a couple of games I've worked on in the past months.
First there is an ad supported collection of board games for Windows Phone called Boards and Pieces:
Boards & Pieces Free | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
There is a separate ad-supported game for the most popular of these which is of course Mills (Nine Men's Morris)
Mills Free | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
We have a paid (no ads) version of Boards and Pieces that includes Mills:
Boards & Pieces | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
Finally we have a paid version of Mills for Windows 8 (sorry but we currently have no trial and I don't know if we will have free version for Windows 8 for some time):
Приложение Kodar Mills за Windows в Магазин на Windows
All games feature progress with ranks, different difficulties, strong AI, leaderboards and pictures for backgrounds that are changed daily.
We've put special effort to follow the UI guidelines for the operating system so all menus are metro styled.
I hope you like our games.Furthermore, I think apps must be able to override the search button with contextual search.

Hello, finally downloaded mills, the tile game and the kaleidoscope. Will search for boards and pieces tomorrow. I think Mills is a fun game, played against myself and a game was only 5 min. There should be an option to play against a cpu. Like the sound effects. Never heard of the game and it is interesting.
Kaleidoscope is amazing, so many different options, my daughter will love it.
The tile game has a nice concept, I felt it needs some music and the ability to select the number of colors. It also needs to be defined how you can earn the special moves in the help section. I think it has potential.
Thanks for taking the time to develop these apps. I would be glad to test again if any improvements are made. Just respond to this thread and I will see it in the wpcentral app. :) - 01-26-2013, 06:05 AM

I think you downloaded some other app. I assume you did not use the link here :)
Our Mills game (officially called Mills Free on WP and Kodar Mills on Windows 8) only supports playing against the AI. There are several other apps that serve as game board for people to play and they were in the marketplace before our game so we decided that it is not worth investing in this function. However we are quite proud of our AI.
I also don't know what this Kaleidoscope app is. Probably some app from the guys who developed the other Mills games. Our other apps are in a package called Boards & Pieces. They are all some simple board games. Most of the other games are easy once you figure out the algorithm to beat them but they can be quite interesting until you figure it out :)
I am glad you like the competition but you may want to check our apps and be surprised. We strongly believe that we have the best Mills app on both WP and Windows 8.Furthermore, I think apps must be able to override the search button with contextual search.

@Zeroplanetz try Mills Free. The free boards and pieces package includes Six Men's Morris and Mills is the more complex version (also known as Nine Men's Morris)
Furthermore, I think apps must be able to override the search button with contextual search.

Cool, I also noticed on some of the comments that larger pieces and multiplayer are frequently requested for Mills Free. I am aware how to play, but I tried placing a piece in phase I and it turns out phase II started. Thanks for listening and hope my suggestions are useful.
I starting playing 8x8 queens, I put 5 or 6 queens and I get stuck. Other than restarting the game is there any way to clear the board or undo a move? I like how my name carried over from mills free. Nice touch. - 01-26-2013, 11:41 AM

I am not sure about the queens. I did not work on it and frankly I never managed to arrange them on the 8x8 board:) I know that undos are the resource and are counted so I guess if you have nowhere to put a queen and you have no undo the game will end in a loss.
We're thinking of online multiplayer but this is something that requires a lot of work to implement so we can't promise anything at this point.
BTW your username is bound to your device. If you uninstall the app and install it again we will get your username and points automatically.Furthermore, I think apps must be able to override the search button with contextual search.

Just saw the undos on the bottom of the queens. Was able to do it once and there are 2 undos. Perhaps just make them a bit bolder.
I like all the games. The UI for catch me if you can is too hard, there are too many paths...hard to play. And i played on easy.
Some of the other games are quite simple, good for kids. Of all them Trigex is my favorite. Nice games, I will keep them for my daughter. - 01-28-2013, 01:38 PM #14
Haven't played Nine Men's Morris since Sierra's Robin Hood game. Thanks!
