It was locking my phone up consistently, so I uninstalled it almost immediately
I've been using it for weeks now with no problems, so I am not sure what is up or why it's happening on two phones.Quote:

This problem is known already, stay away from WWF or the phone will keep locking itself
I've had the same thing happen to my phone today.
I know you weren't looking for alternative suggestions, but have you tried Words by Post? Much better, no annoying ads you have to watch, no lockups, and it is much quicker at updating moves.

I can't believe WwF is so popular. It's such a buggy POS compared to WordFeud.
It ended up working again (for now) on both phones. Doesn't inspire much confidence in WP8, though, when a fairly trivial app can lock the host OS up that tightly.
