I am also wondering about this, to edit screenshots, etc. would be useful

I was looking all over for this and couldn't anything over the net. I did stumble on an app called Fotochop but it is horrible. Anyone, please help....

Not sure if this is going to be what you are after but I found it aswesome.

Allows you to create mosiacs (or not) and add text using different fonts. Nice app

The best app I have come across to add text to pictures is InstaQuote.
It has a ton great typeface choices and even backgrounds if you want.
I use it a ton for instagram. It's a keepah! oh and it's freeeeee
