    What is a good recommendation for a WP8 flight tracking/status app with live tiles?
    I don't care if it's a standalone app (only flight status), or a feature/option of a larger app (buying flights, etc)

    Flightaware has push notifications and works well overall but I don't think it has actual live tile functionality.

    So, didn't answer your question but I'd say check the app out in general anyways, if you haven't yet.

    Here's a few flight apps... some have the capability to pin individual flights to your Start Screen.
