    I switched from a Lumia 822 to HTC 8X on Verizon and really miss having Navigation that runs in the background. I've purchased Navigon and like it but not having a background or screen off feature is a killer.

    I know VZ Navigator has this available but since my company pays for my service I can't add it.

    Are there any other apps that offer this? Or is there a setting I am missing on Navigon?

    I tried Navigon and Garmin - neither run in background. Garmin is quicker to start and replot based on "recent" destinations though.
    IMO still unacceptable.
