1. What are good chat apps that integrate facebook and gchat? I'm using talk.to and it's pretty slick.

2. Will these kind of apps drain battery a lot, since I'm constantly 'online'? Will it constantly check for updates in the background? I read somewhere that the online status is managed by cloud and won't cause battery drain - is this true?
