When I video chat my wife on her iPhone, it rings through. When she tries to ring my WP8, it just rings forever on her phone but I see nothing on mine. Although it appears to her that I am logged in, it just keeps ringing. Only when I start up the Skype app can I pick up.

What am I doing wrong? This should be always on, right? But I don't see it in Background Tasks, and the Skype app has very little options to toggle. I'm lost.

The preview doesn't integrate properly, and therefore has to be open to receive calls. I think they just released it so that people would stop saying "Skype isn't out for WP8".

Basically, I think most of these niggles will probably be sorted by the new year. If they aren't a lot of people will get rid of their WP8 phones so MS better hurry up about it!

Yeah Skype is still a preview build so it's not fully hooked in and fully featured just yet.
