    Just like the title suggests.
I'm used to a nokia n900 where i could see the battery battery quickly and easily in a percentage.
I feel like on the lumia 900 i have to go out of my way to see how much power is left.

Would be cool if you could have a live tile with the percentage on it.

    Is there such a thing?
Easy ways to see battery life at a glance?

Sorry if these are newb questions, i just come from a very different type of phone.
So far i love the L900, just learning my way around still.

It would be cool wouldn't it? Without being developer unlocked, I don't believe it's possible.

I have to go to Settings>Battery Saver on my HTC Radar...though it's better than on my old Samsung Focus where I had to type in a various codes to get the info=/

Current devices: HTC Windows Phone 8X (blue, unlocked VZW), MSFT Surface RT
Past devices: Samsung Focus, HTC Radar, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 920
Current non-WP devices: Nexus 4, iPhone 5, Droid DNA

Unfortunately you need a developer unlocked device to get the Battery Meter app, which does exactly what you are looking for, and a little more.

For the people that have a windows phone 8 device:
After the battery problems I had with my HTC 8x I developed this one.

    Battery tile & log.
A battery tile and battery logger app.
You can download it for free:
Battery tile & log | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

    Kind regards,

    Koen

Battery meter is free, works on locked phones and has Live tile feature. Works great.

Change location in settings to US and restart phone, and go to store and download....then change back to UK :-)

You are kidding right? There must be 100 apps by now that put battery % on a live tile, and give you graphs and usage stats and even predictive algorithms.
