Anyone know of an app that can play AVI/DIVX files?

Something like VLC on the iPhone.

Windows Phone 7 can not play these files, nor is there any applications that will.

If you're hoping to stream off your network, you can try using a streaming server such as TVersity (must be able to transcode).

Visit here for instructions on how to use TVersity:

Really?? I have put several xvid-avi movies on my HTC Trophy, through Zune, and they seem to work fine. Great actually.

Yes really, Zune will automatically convert to a playable format as you sync it to your device. You'll notice it will say it's converting before it syncs.

Oh, ok. Well, still cool though that it's that simple.
