Hello everyone. When I first heard about the JBL Powerup speaker, I was pretty excited since it's a cool concept in priciple. However, the price tag really turned me off. It seems the speaker is only so expensive because it has the JBL name branded on it. Not to mention, it's really hard to find one in stock and I didn't feel like dashing around during Christmas time. One day in the store, I paired my phone with the speaker and realized that all it was doing was using the NFC to pair via bluetooth, so I decided to buy my own NFC tags and write one myself to get the job done. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas about making the pairing better. I used the app NFC Launchit
