Apps with beautiful large tiles (double-wide ONLY)
Let's just keep it to point. List of apps that we know has beautiful live tiles and that you pin only as large tile because it makes your phone.. well, beautiful?

I thought ESPN doesn't even have a live tile! Also aren't Skype, Skydrive and Calendar apps just tiles? On Skype and Calendar you just get notifications where as Skydrive is just a blue logo, no?
Never played words with friends, does it do anything nice on double wide tile?

I like Weave in double wide a lot. Probably one of the most under rated apps on WP.

Does the double wide tile update now? When they updated to WP8 version, their double wide tile did nothing at all.

I had das Image during WP7 times and because they never updated their live tile that often, I sort of uninstalled it. Might have to check out the double wide tile now! Thanks a lot.

I love the wide tiles, but seems as though it takes up too much space. The only one I enjoy having that way are the calendar app.

May be give one of these 17 tiles a go? You never know what makes you fall in love with your phone enough to let that big tile take all the space ;)

BBC News Mobile and Weather are free and have very nice and useful double-wide live tiles.
