When sending a text message with an emoji (emoticon picture), if the message is more that about 70 characters, the number of messages count jumps up. For example, my text message has 133/160 characters, I add an emoji, it jumps to '3 messages, 136/201'.

I'm sure this never happened with my iPhone, why does the message count jump when only a few characters are added? Is this a bug or to do with the way emoticons are sent?

yes it seems to be a bug, as i us this emoji art app and it sends sms as a single one
