Mine gets hot during games but has never frozen nor rebooted. Even those badly coded Zynga games couldn't. I guess I have a normal phone. I would get replacement for those phones that freeze and reboot often.

my phone went from 34% to 9% in 20 minutes while not being used. picked it up and it was HOT. put my phone in my pocket the other day, I could feel the heat on my leg. so it hasn't been fixed for me.

sounds like you have a defective WiFi or 4g chip. I had a similar problem on my LG Optimus 3d. I would call your phone company and get your device replaced. It will only get worse and you'll probably start to miss the odd call or text message without even knowing it.

Mine gets hot during some games ("Where's My Water", I'm looking at you), but other than that, I haven't had a single issue with mine overheating.
