So, got my Lumia 920 yesterday (fantastic device btw) but am having 2 issues.
1. Xbox Music Cloud and Xbox Music Pass. Found a way around it though but I have to stream the song to be able to download it, else it thinks it's already in my collection... WTF?
2. Skype - won't sign me in despite having the correct credentials - both on MS account and Skype account. Signal is full H.
Could anyone help with the Skype issue please? I did have a 3rd issue but managed to forget it like an *****...Windows Phone Central Moderator "Fortune cookie said: 'Outlook not so good'. I've had no issues with Skype sign in. When this happened to my wife she was entering the wrong details.
Suggest you make sure your PC has the latest version installed and that you can sign in with that (Microsoft have done some account changes and you can then log in with your Microsoft account). - 01-20-2013, 10:18 PM

I would presume my pc has the latest version as I check for updates via Windows store. It still logs in okay on that... Confused :(

Ok, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall, and still no luck. Still not letting me login on either account (I had 4 bars HSDPA, and the app installed fine over cellular data, and I wasn't on WiFi. Also, don't worry about data usage, I'm on The Full Monty so got my unlimited data)

For your Xbox music pass when it shows in collection - it means its either in cloud or on device. You can tap on "all" (in your accent colour font) and select phone. That will show what you've downloaded. Select cloud and most of your music is online only, until you download those songs on to the phone.
It becomes painful here, because now you will need to go to each album, tap on list icon, select all songs, then tap download. Do this for each album. In my case 83 albums. - 01-21-2013, 06:58 PM

Maybe your Skype name has a character that the phone doesn't play well with?

Skype logs in fine for my Windows Phone device (both 7 and 8). Wifi and Data aren't going to help the sign in process as they both connect to the same Skype servers. Try reducing the amount of characters or make it simpler, or maybe just try contacting Skype support. Sorry if this doesn't help much :P
Edit: Never mind, I haven't ever thought about the carriers blocking access to Skype (or any resource for that matter) :)Last edited by interopbyt; 01-22-2013 at 06:05 PM.

I've asked up at Skype support as well. Re: Skype for Windows Phone 8 Preview - 2.1 Update - Page 8 - Skype Support Network

In order to make a simple trouble shooting you can do the following:
Reverse steps: What did you do before Skype stop working? Did you changed something on the phone? Did you changed your password, or did you have any errors on WP8?
Also you can do the following:
Uninstall the app, install it again, try to login with somebody's else account (maybe your gf, colleague etc) then if it works you know it's MS/Skype personal account integration related.
Also make sure you carrier lets you sign-in to Skype, some carriers are idiots and block all access in order to avoid traffic. - 01-22-2013, 10:57 AM

Skype hasn't worked at all on this phone.
Don't have access to anyone else's account to try but could try creating a second account for troubleshooting purposes.
I don't know if T-Mobile UK block it but can't really check other carriers as it is carrier locked. Can try the titan though as I know my Skype worked on that with Three.
EDIT: Content Lock somehow got activated on my phone preventing access to things such as Skype, FB chat, et al. They've removed the lock and it seems to have fixed the issue with regards to FB chat and MSN. Jury's still out on Skype though...
EDIT2: The tech support rep has checked my account, it definitely allows Skype.
EDIT3: Was able to sign in via WiFi and now it stays logged in even when off WiFiLast edited by Paladinleeds; 01-22-2013 at 05:20 PM.

This is all I can see :(

Honestly, that's at the top of the view.
EDIT: Scrap that, changing to use Xbox Music Cloud worked. One problem though: Neil Davidge in the store says it's in the collection already. It's on neither the Xbox Music Cloud, nor the phone.
EDIT2: Every time I try and download a song it says "We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this song" - I have a Music Pass and I have signal too...
EDIT3: Had enough of this, trying a factory reset of the phone. Failed. Music still showing as "In Collection" when it isn't either on my phone or on my Xbox Cloud Collection. Worst thing is, it's my most listened to artists (Dragonforce, Neil Davidge, Sabaton, and Miss Fd, all of which are available in the Xbox Music Store)Last edited by Paladinleeds; 01-22-2013 at 07:50 PM.

Are you syncing your phone with Windows 8 by any chance?
Do you have a Windows 8 PC or Xbox? Can you check if your cloud on either of these devices is syncing songs?
Also, on windowsphone.com - see if you've max'd out devices that you can have associated to your Microsoft account. I had it with 1 xbox, 1 PC, 2 laptops and 1 WP, then when I got Lumia, it didn't sync at all. If you have too many devices, eps your old WP7 that you don't use now, remove it and then resync. - 01-23-2013, 11:06 AM
