I think you're reading too much into this. It's just an advert for Windows 8/RT. Otherwise, we could conclude they are dropping support for the Xbox itself :p

It's a Windows 8 commercial, most likely nobody of the Windows Phone division was involved here...

tbh, I think you're reading that video incorrectly. It's all about more W8/Xbox integration, but doesn't explicitly show about how they're dropping WP8 XBL games support. Maybe they've already cracked the W8/Xbox paradigm but need more work to add WP8 into the mix?

I saw those ads too at a movie theatre on Tuesday night.
I haven't seen Xbox ads, though.
It makes sense, though. WP8 is new and current. I don't expect an Xbox marketing campaign until the next Xbox model is released.
