Good Sprint is now supporting Windows phone.

So what phone do you think they really want on their network? and what phone would the receive?

It most likely will be the 8X or 8S.

About time. Considering Sprint's relationship with HTC I think it will most likely be the 8X or 8S.

I saw an acquaintance I know who works at Sprint walking around with a blue HTC 8X. I'd assume he didn't pick one up from T-Mo, Verizon or AT&T, but I didn't ask him about it.

You should have. But I bet it's an unlocked phone.

Next time I see him, I will. If it's unlocked, he's not using it on Sprint, since Sprint only allows their own hard-coded devices on their network.

You're kidding. Wow, that's the very definition of a closed system. You should be railing on them.

Too little, too late. From a former Sprint customer.

Sprint is CDMA and either LTE (on new devices) or WiMAX (on older ones). It's closed by deign of the technology that it uses. "Unlocked CDMA phone" is a bit of an oxymoron.

Yep. Even when I worked for RadioShack and we had to manually program the earliest of phones, Verizon and Sprint CDMA handsets weren't interchangeable, even if they used the same SID list. "Unlocked" CDMA doesn't exist. A Sprint phone can only ever be a Sprint phone. Even Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile handsets can't be made to work on Sprint and they are prepaid reseller partners of Sprint.
