I see people with WP's around all the time. I get asked about my device from time to time may more in the last 6 weeks than before.

Yes, it does. More people with WPs = More marketshare = More apps.

Been seeing more and more Windows Phones on my daily commute back and forth at work. One time I saw a young man showing off his 8X to a friend and comparing it to his friends Android phone. And I even had a couple of young men asking about my 8X. They seemed very impressed with the live tiles.
