How do I get windows phone 8 to stream music from the music player?

Background that I'm not sure matters...trying to play a podcast. This is trying to be done in my car which has MyFordTouch. I have the phone connected to it as it'll read text messages, receive calls, etc. Also, I am using a Lumia 920 😊

I go on my stereo and goto Bluetooth device in Audio and it sees it there and it says stream is detected, but the audio is playing out of phone.

Do I do something on my phone to tell it that I'm using Bluetooth Stereo?
