Does anyone know of a way to have everyone in the room (windows phone 8 rooms) notified when a change is made in the room (new photo, photo tagged, new calendar event, etc)? If there is no way to configure this at the phone level, maybe it can be configured in the skydrive account since the items in the room are stored in skydrive.

Couldn't you just send out a message in the chat?

I could, but that is the extra step I am trying to avoid. If I add a new note, pic, or calendar event, I should not have to send a message to let everyone know what I did.

Not aware of any way to notify automatically but a pinned tile will reflect update item counts. It's certainly a form of notification but probably not the proactive toast-type notification you were hoping for, eh?

It doesn't actually—not for photos. The only thing my wife and I use a room for is to share pictures of our kiddo during the day. You'd think you could just add a photo, and the tile would show you a number for new items. Nope. Have to send along a text as well. :(
