My old BB Bold Bold 9900 had an led that would flash whenever a new message came. Is there anything like that on the Nokia 810? It's something I really miss. Especially in long meetings when I have to have my phone on silent with no vibration.

No...but if you are looking at it anyways looking for a blinking light, just tap the power button to see lockscreen notifications that indicate you have waiting messages...

Sadly MS didnt want to let us have the locked screen like the N9 and N8... Or a LED.

IIRC there was a workaround that let the homekey blink or something for WP7.5, or was that just in the works...?

I just read MS will be be coming out with an update but not much is known about it. Maybe....
