I know this is an issue with desktop Outlook, but it is an issue mainly with phones.
Google has a free application that will sync calendars in Outlook to gmail. This does not require an Exchange server and is quite useful. All you do is add the event or events to Outlook and tell the Google app to sync, and the event or events are copied to your gmail calendar (which automatically syncs to your Android phone). It does not involve cutting and pasting and does not cause duplicate notifications in Outlook. In Outlook, you only have your outlook calendar and gmail also has the event. Outlook Connector requires creating duplicate events in your Outlook and live.com calendars, and duplicate notifications in Outlook.
I have found a product from companionlink that will do just this, but at a cost of $50. It would just be nice if Microsoft can offer the same functionality as Google, and at the same price.
Has anyone found a way to do this with Microsoft?
