Skype is a hit and miss from my experience more of a miss. I thought Skype was supposed to be running in the background and i should be able to receive calls whether on wifi/data and notifications from messages.

A few times i was able to skype from an iphone to my 920 to test out and most of the time, it want not go through and say i was offline. Also messages do not send because it says offline. Two times i tried and the calls actually went through when my phone is locked in standby. Messages still does not go through if my phone is on standby.

Anybody able to get consistent performance from Skype? Huge dissapointment here, i remember joe belfiore saying that Skype does not drain battery because the information comes from MS servers or something like that, but i know its a battery drain, insult to injury, it doesn't even work most of the time.

Anybody got ways to get this working?

Yes it is a beta, but i am curious if others have had more consistenty in its usage. It works as it said it was at times and most of the time it doesnt.

Skype kind of of worked for a few days where I was "online" and people would message me and video chat. But that hasn't worked in about a week or so. Maybe they are working on the back end fixes?
