    If you are like me and prefer to use the full desktop version of websites over mobile, simply go to Settings/Applications/Internet Explorer and select "desktop version" under "Website preference"

    I know this is old school for veteran WP users, but thought it would be helpful for other newbies.

    You can also access the settings from within Internet Explorer, just tap the ellipsis (or drag up) and scroll to settings.
