My daughter and I both got 920's yesterday. Mine syncs fine with the Windows Phone App, using iTunes playlists on Windows7, but when we try to sync her phone, the WP app crashes on the PC. She's bummed.
Most other features are working great. I love this new phone and I'm very glad I decided to leave the iPhone. Agree with other posts, it's weight is not an issue at all, nor is it's size, at least for me. My daughter is 16 and it doesn't seem to be too big for her either. - 11-10-2012, 07:01 PM #2

The windows phone connect worked perfectly for me. I do not have zune just itunes.
I had itunes closed at the time. Started the windows phone connect. It came up with all my music and I selected and it copied it. Itunes did open in the background.
Im running Windows7 - 11-20-2012, 02:00 AM #10
WP app crashes when syncing to itunes because you are Syncing DRM. "Digittal rights media".
when you buy stuff off itunes, you can only play them on upto 5 apple software/devices.
here is a work around:
Remove itunes purchased media from the itunes playlist. can't sync those, apple wont allow it on any other device but ipad, i phones, etc. The sync should work fine.
if do not know which is itunes purchased media do the following:
1. Do a sync.
2.just when WP app crashes, note which song it was trying to sync. (its mentioned underneath the sync progress bar as "Adding _____.mp3")
3. remove said song from the Itunes library (don't have delete it from your computer, just remove it from the library)
4. Sync again and repeat steps 1 through 4 if you encounter more problems.
5. most importantly!, download media through amazon mp3. its cheaper and has no restriction. you can manage it using itunes, sune, wmp, etc and sync it to any device.
i only had 3 albums from itunes, so i was lucky. For those who have majority Apple DRM media, buy non DRM versions from amazon, or switch forever be an apple drone.
this worked for me. hope it works for you too. - 11-30-2012, 08:36 PM #11
Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I have never downloaded anything from iTunes, so I know that is not the problem for me. My Windows Phone app crashes when trying to sync my Top 25 playlist. It gets all the way to the last song then at the bottom it just says "Syncing Top 25" when it crashes, so I can't pinpoint what song is the problem. Quite annoying.
Also, I am using Windows 7. - 11-30-2012, 08:51 PM #12
A quick update - I found the problem by comparing the list of songs that did get sync'd with the playlist in iTunes, I naturally assumed the one song that was not on the phone was the problem. I have multiple songs by the same artist in this playlist and found that there was an extra space at the end of the artist's name in the ID3 tag of one of the songs, causing the Windows Phone sync software to think it was two different artists. I removed the space in Mp3tag and re-sync'd with no issues.
