The name of the black accent color is "cobalt." The cobalt theme was, I think, first seen in a video of the HTC 8s. Naturally everyone said black. I saw a video today of the lumia 820 with this same theme but the accent color was called "cobalt."

Or the color showing in that menu isn't the color theme you see in the other shots. Since you know, Cobalt is dark blue.

It is the high constrast mode with white background. That's all there is too it. The theme color doesn't matter with that option, so most probably cobalt was the theme used before activating the mode.
FYI If you choose high contrast mode with black background then the tiles are also black but with a thin white border. - 10-13-2012, 04:58 AM #5
Spot on, Yakkaimono.
Off topic, but I really like the black text on light background for the lock screen. - 10-13-2012, 10:11 AM #6Windows Phone Central Moderator "Fortune cookie said: 'Outlook not so good'. I said: 'Sure, but Microsoft ships it anyway'." - Apparently you can have an iPhone transplant...

Black edges on a white background works, but I HATE the white background. The first thing I do when I get a WP is change the default background to black.

I'm using the white background right now. Is nice for texting.

I plan on using a white background with blue tiles. Blue and White is just my favorite color combination.
