    It would eat into their Moto Droid sales in a huge way. Remember Droid kept Verizon in the game when the iPhone was only for At&t.

    I don't think Verizon would care as long as they're selling something that isn't an iPhone.

    Verizon has already stated that they are planning to promote wp8 in the same way they did for Droid. With ios holding them hostage and Droid not an ideal partner they are looking for a third viable ecosystem. Only time will tell whether they follow through with their promise.
