Hey guys. I got a question. Is it a good thing that apple is suing Samsung?. If it's true MS and apple have some sort of agreement to get Samsung of the android addiction?

I don't know if they explicitly have an agreement, but they both benefit from the downfall of Android.

I can't imagine that Microsoft and Apple would be working together to take down Samsung. Any evidence to make you think this would be the case?

LOL, never meant to imply that, was just curious if you had read a story that I had missed. It wouldn't be the first time two companies worked together to achieve a goal that was mutually beneficial.

Aug. 6, 1997: Apple Rescued

Microsoft has saved Apple's *** before.

This time it might not be paper but it will benefit them two companies to get Google out of the equation. However, with all the licensing fees they both earn off Android handsets are huge too.

e.g. MSFT made nearly $8 million off licensing fees from Android in only one quarter of 2012. That's how it can afford to pay $2.5 million to Nokia for promoting WP each quarter.

Microsoft and apple both license stuff off each other. As such Samsung already have loads of licenses on windows phone. Hence why the WP liense fees are less than android.
