Does anyone else think that file access could be coming in WP8?
This is my reasoning:
1) Joe said that the switch to removable storage was a good thing so you can share "Photos, Music and Videos"
2) Windows 8 RT and Pro have the Share charm that can be used with files.
Surely it would be pointless to put music/videos/pictures onto your removable SD Card for your phone not to do anything with them.
This could be my killer feature, and also the biggest hurdle in tech savvy people moving from Android.

I thinks so:
"It means Windows Phone and its bigger sibling will share ... a common file system."

I do hope so. I've adjusted to using Zune to put podcasts ans such onto my phone but I really would like the ability to simply Copy/Paste files over onto a card or into my phone like back in the days of Activesync so I can have them on my phone without jumping through hoops.

Maybe in the pro version,it seems like the file explorer will be closed off in the RT version.

There IS a new syncing feature coming. They touched upon it briefly in the presentation yesterday.
I'm still using a WM device, and one of the hardest things I'll have to accept when I get my first WP7 device is this lack of functionality.
I'm really, really, really hoping improved syncing is one of the bones MS throws the WP7 devices with the 7.8upgrade.Regards,

Oh yeah, now that I know no upgrade path from 7-->8, I've settled on a 710 or 800. Put a bid in on an 800 this morning.
