My keyboard has not disappeared since update. That alone is the most important thing I can think of right now. Only real other features are the start screen and themes. Have not found any other features from WP8 in wp7.8

Don't expect any more updates from Microsoft, WP7 is done, its a legacy OS now with all the focus on WP8.
