Has anyone found a list of the features that we lack with wp7.8 compared to wp8?
From what I can tell-
Do not have:
No high contrast in settings
No Kids Corner
No groups
No Screen Shots
No battery level apps
No rooms ;)
Bluetooth file transfer
USB mass storage
lockscreen notifications
Data sense
offline maps
persistent Wifi
Camera lenses
Do have:
Start screen
New theme colors
Anyone else? I have only been on 7.8 for a few hours.Last edited by power5; 02-12-2013 at 07:12 PM.

I can think of a few more off the top of my head (though I don't have a WP8):
Bluetooth file transfer
USB mass storage
lockscreen notifications
Data sense (I know, Verizon only at this point anyway)
offline maps
persistent Wifi
Camera lenses
Not really an overwhelming list IMO. - 02-12-2013, 07:14 PM

Windows Phone 8 uses MTP instead of USB mass storage, with the two primary benefits being 1) no terrible partitioning and 2) storage doesn't have to be "mounted" while connected, so both the phone and the device it is connected to can access the storage. Not supported in older versions of Windows (XP without SPs and older, I believe) and OS X.

In windows 7.8, there is no option to select multiple pictures or songs for sending/deleting. You can only select a single file at a time to perform any action. I heard in windows 8 , it is possible.
Very bad that it is not there in windows 7 devices even after updating to 7.8. - 02-14-2013, 07:15 PM

An easy way to push the features of rooms would have been to add the feature to wp7 devices. But MSFT decided that ONLY people with WP8 could use rooms natively. Everyone else needs to just share one note and skydrive files. Yes, even us faithful windows users. MSFT is not going to even include us in this nice feature. Seems so simple too. It just collects things from a calendar and a few select contacts and places them into a "group". I mean seriously, how hard could it have been? Its almost identical to the people hub, but only has a few select contacts in it.
