Hi All,

Trying to update my lumia 800 to WP 7.8 using force trick. But, zune is doing something with media file from last 4 hrs. Anyone has experianced same?syncing.png

I did not see that when I installed the update on 30 January. Mine took about 45 minutes total for the 3 updates.

Finally Sync is completed but zune is listing that phone will be updated to 7.10.8783.12

is it correct build number for wp 7.8?

any ways.... i'm going ahead with it

there is more then one update depending on your phone you seem to be at number 2 based on my experience with lumia 710, after you finish 8783 you have to glitch zune one more time to get the final update which is actually very small and will take a lot less time then 8783. The update number for 7.8 is 7.10.8858.136 keep going you're almost there.

could not find this build number in WP build history. by that way, update is completed. No tile resize, no extra accent color, no bing wallpaper....

Yes. you are right.... tried force update again and now zune is listing correct build number i.e. 7.10.8858.136
AND .... THIS TIME... NO SYNCING.... syncing step not event appered

FINALLY .....
I have it on my Lumia 800.
start-up logo - updated
tile resize - yes... it is working... :)
and all other stuff you know already :)
