It has come to my attention after updating my HTC HD7 t-mobile to windows phone 7.8 from SevenEighter that the Battery has been draining rather quickly than regularly back on mango. Im guessing that it is the live tiles functionality to "drain" more than before? what is your opinion? have you noticed this recently or should you test this thing that i have found for yourself?

I'm losing around 25% per hour on my Lumia 800.
I charged the phone last night at 10pm, turned off wifi and location settings and disabled all background tasks... At around 2am the battery warning sounded. I might try a hard reset today and see if that fixes the problem. - 02-02-2013, 03:56 AM #6
I can say that I also can notice that my battery lasst a bit longer. I use Purple Cherry quite a lot (GBC emulator) and I can go through the day without a problem, with moderate to heavy usage.

Maybe this is because you are exploring 7.8 and this is causing your Phone to be on more draining the battery faster.

I had this problem right after I updated my T-Mo HD7 to 7.8. I turned off a bunch of live tiles (only kept the ones I really needed) and killed other battery draining features (connect faster to find my phone). Restarted my phone and the battery has been fine ever since. I feel like the battery life is actually slightly better now. We'll see if this holds in the coming days.

My Lumia 800 have lost around 40% of the battery time. Does anyone know if its a battery calibration thing? Cuz on the first 3-4 days i was getting 10-12 hours on normal usage. That is not cool. Last 2 days i've gotten a little bit more. Probably 12-16 hours. Before this i usually went up around 29-35 hours.
