Omnia W Wp 7.8

Has anyone here recived their update. I got notification that there is update available but when i got to my pc and started zune it said that my phone is already up to date. I also tried seveneigter but it didn't work.

I updated my wife's Omnia W (international unlocked) yesterday without any of the problems that I faced with email on my Titan.

What method did you use? Now I tried Zune again but my phone is "still up to date"

Never mind I tried seveneighter again and it worked!

I force updated my omnia W yesterday, India Unlocked.

I didn't have any problems installing wp 7.8 with that. When I first tried it "updated" my phone to 7.10.8773.98 which it already had. I would say it is pretty safe to use but do it on your own risk.

hey.. i couldn't able to update to 7.8... pls help me.. i tried the disconnection method..

i updated my omnia w,just now by the disconnection method.
I'm from India,and it works like charm.

the update is not out yet in the US, i tried updating it but it says there is no update, i got no notification either about the update, any help

The Windows phone 7.8 update is now rolling out officially in India at least. Dont know about other regions. Windows Phone 7.8 for Samsung Omnia W now rolling out in India

I updated my Omnia w on 30th Jan...the moment the update was released...via Zune...however I used the WiFi trick...there are 3 updates..last one is 7.8:)

Updated my Samsung W to 7.8

Connect your phone to Zune
Click on Update let it show that the phone is up to date
Now select any of the option above the Update option
As soon as you click on the update again disconnect your Internet connectivity from the Computer
And uncheck both the Update boxes from your phone, settings- phone update
Try this two three times and you should see an update :excited:

The Zune WiFi trick should work...it worked for me

the 7.8 update is great but there seems to be some issue with text messaging. Has anybody else faced difficulty in sending texts?

havn't u evr searched this thing in youtube. u bettr search for "how to uapdate omnia w to windows 7.8". itz not dt easy......
