    I have installed Windows Phone 7.8 yesterday, lets say in the future i need to reset to factory settings, will that remove the 7.8 update or will it just reset the phone to new with the 7.8 update installed?

    It'll stay at 7.8. Won't go back to 7.5 or whatever you had previously.
