I bought a Nokia 710 for my parents, telling them it's a super easy phone to use.

ONLY to have them totally confuse how to make a freaking simple phone call!

1. The DAMN Phone icon, when you press, brings the LAST calls made, INSTEAD of the dial-pad, and they gotto press this tiny button at the bottom to get dial-pad. Is there a way to make dial-pad appear by default (like iPhone)? I tried all settings, to no avail. It should have a separate call history icon.

2. WHY the heck the text size is not adjustable? My parents can't freaking see the email or text message content. Even my 4yr old Blackberry had text size adjustment. Is there anything one can do?

3. Has any of the above been addressed in Win8?Thanks

No, the call log is the mandatory first view when launching phone. There may be a Store app to launch its own dialer that can rectify this for your parents.

Text size is adjustable in Windows Phone 8 (And maybe Windows Phone 7.x, I can't recall) by going to Settings>Ease of Access>Text Size
