Hi guys!
i'm new here at wpcentral... comming from webOS nation (but not leaving haha)......
and i'm getting my first Windows Phone, my last Windows device was my HP iPAQ 510 (Windows mobile)
i hate Android, and always have respect for Nokia, and as a Windows user... and HP fan (still) Windows was my Choice, until HP bought Palm because of the webOS... and that's why i have webOS devices... but now my HP veer died and i need another phone... so here i am....
well... mi question is:
should i get the Nokia lumia 800, is available now and is free in contract..... i love the 800 design... and the 810 and 820 does not have the same design, even the 810 looks like the 800, but it does not look as good as the 800...
what about the 1gb or ram of the 810/820...
the performance? is it much better....
is the difference good enought to wait for the 810 or 820 to be available in Mexico.... or should i buy the 900 if its between the 900 and the newer models
please share your recomendations, since there's a promo for the 800 (which i think is because the new phones will arrive soon)Last edited by BlueRQ; 12-18-2012 at 02:25 AM. Reason: lumia 900

Don't get the 800/900, get a new Nokia device running Windows Phone 8. Might as well get a phone that can support the cooler features and apps coming out over the next few months.

I agree with Sam. You're locking yourself into a dead-end ecosystem by going with the Lumia 800/900. With the 620/810/820/822/920 (when the 620 is released), you're keeping your options open and opening yourself into the big growing app ecosystem. The only problem with the 620 is the 512MB RAM, which may limit your WP8 experience. The 810/820/822/920 all have 1GB RAM though, which means optimal experience with WP8 :D

I have a Lumia 800 and it is hand down the best phone I've ever had. That said, if I was getting into Win 7 now I wouldn't get one. I'd probably go for an 820 if funds allowed as the 920 is a little on the large side for me however the 620 does sound like a very nice piece of kit for the price point.

thanks for your advice.... i'll wait for the newer lumias with wp8...
and one more question... does the apps on wp7 or wp8 Works on Windows 8.... i'm asking this if for exaple... i want to buy Angry birds Star Wars... will it be available for me in both my Windows 8 pc and my phone? or i have to pay twice.... i know it may be stupid to ask this but i wanted to ask anyway... i'm new in Windows Phone... - 12-18-2012, 01:14 PM #6
I'd wait for the WP8 devices too.
Some apps work and some don't. You'll have to pay for the app for your phone and your WP8 device. Not a dumb question, it's really a good valid question.Goodbye Dooley! You will NOT be missed!:@
