    I changed the Live ID on my Live.com account. I understand that getting my WP7 phone to reflect the new username requires resetting the phone. When I do this am I going to lose my text messages?

    If yes, is there any way to backup and restore them?

    Yes and no. Unfortunately.

    There is an app for it but I believe you have to have a dev unlocked phone at least. Probably introp unlock is needed though.
