How will the Tango update work for me? I am currently running the UK Tango ROM for the Lumia 710, and I know Zune checks your carrier and provides the update, so what can I do? I still have my Micro SIM from T-Mobile, so could I flash the stock T-Mobile ROM, pop my Tmobile SIM in, let it believe I'm with T-Mobile, and send me the official Tango update for the 710? Or does my Tmobile SIM have to have active service for it to think I'm with T-Mobile?

Unless I am mistaken, no matter the SIM you have it in, Zune will only give you whatever T-Mo updates there are. You must de-brand your WP7 device in order to get out of T-Mo's update process. But I think only some select Samsung phones can be de-branded. As in, resetting the configuration of the phone to say it's no longer a T-Mo phone. I don't think the SIM will have any effect on this.

Yea, this is what Zune support said as well so good. Just didn't want to go through hoops to get the official US Tango rom
