Hi, I'm new to the WP party, and I love it so far! However, I have a few questions.
I've recently tested my new phone (Lumia 900) and its battery life with and without the 4G LTE on. I've noticed significant battery increase when the 4G is off. However, I've noticed that turning off the data in the settings menu also gets rid of MMS/picture texting. So I was wondering if there was any way to send/receive picture text messaging without having to toggle the 4G on and off!| DFI P45-T2RS | E5200 @ 3,5 GHz | 6GB RAM @ 800 MHz | CF HD5770 | Sandisk 120GB SSD | - 05-21-2012, 02:47 PM #2
you'll need data/internet on for MMS, but not for SMS.

I would think WiFi would work, but I have never tried it.

I don't think WiFi will work, because MMS is carrier dependant.

Can't do it. You need your carrier's data working to be able to send/receive MMS. There are plenty of threads here regarding MMS settings so it's been tried. To save yourself a few steps, download connectivitysetup from the Marketplace and pin it to your home page. It's a quick shortcut for toggling your radios.
