I love the Facebook Messenger on Android. Is there anything like that on WP7? I wish it was baked into the People app....that would be awesome. Is there another way to send/receive FB messages without using the Facebook app or the browser?

Its actually baked into messaging. You can switch between SMS and FB chat on the fly. If you have FB account added to the phone you can activate FB chat by going settings/applications/messaging/facebook chat/[on]. Only downside, you currently cannot send/receive from someone who is offline.

That's cool, but I would actually want to send to anyone, online or offline.

So do we all. Hopefully, they will address that in the next major update. It's rumored that they will integrate Skype into messaging and that's probably when they will make necessary changes to FB chat.

I know WhatsApp can't be used to sent FB messages so I'm not sure why you mentioned that....unless you didn't read my OP. Are you saying IM+ can send FB messages?

Yup. IM+ works for Facebook messenger. And I thought WhatsApp did too. I guess I was wrong.
