Woman wanted a WP for a low price.
Whilst eavesdropping, I told her I loved it. And showed her live tile goodness.
Sales girl said iPhone 3gs is pretty much free.
Pulled up att $.01 WP sale next weekend, showed it to customer.
Customer said no iPhone, shell wait until next weekend for WP.
Sales person gives baseballbert evil look.
Baseballbert walks out if store laughing!

Oh boy, that could be fun. You know, in all seriousness, if we really wanted to get grass rootsy next weekend and have some fun, here's a great strategy:
1) older folks who look like they have grandkids, we show them how to create a tile on the homescreen for him/her. That's one of the things I should the woman (60's, mid most likely), a tile with my wife and daughter, that got her attention really well. Pretty much figured it would.
2) younger people band sites, facebook friends, groups they can set up. pretty much how they can stay on top of what their circle of friends is doing.
3) We also throw in that we came from an iPhone, and how we like WP better because the other side of the fence just looks old and boring.
I bet that would help the cause a ton. Hmmmm, perhaps I should be working in mktg for MS....Make with the WP purchase already one time why dontcha for pete's sake. Honestly.....5tephen likes this. - 11-20-2011, 10:46 PM #13
I used an iPhone and Android before WP7 and I will never go back to either.

So I tried to #OccupyATT on Saturday but to no avail. They didn't even have the original Focus in stock and had no clue what the Titan even was!
