Hello everyone!
New here, but have been lurking for a while. I have used many different types of devices, currently have a HTC Mozart which happens to have been my favourite device so far. Windows Mobile was on my first smartphone the HTC Wizard, then I got the TyTN which got upgraded to Windows Mobile 6, 6.5 (big mistake) with help from XDA-Developers.
Loved trying to get the integration and things to "seem" seem less using today screen replacements, shells and such... But was always left feeling it was not quite right. The phone would look a mess in some places still, and only okay in others. Big shame.
Tried Symbian and although there is some love there, it was just not right. Then Android and don't want to go back there (enough said). iOS was okay, my girlfriend loves her iPhone 4 and I can't really fault it too much.
Since Windows Phone was annouced and I looked at some key features, I really wanted one. I finally got my Mozart a few months ago woot! It was fresh, it was actually integrated better than I could get on Android or Windows Mobile and I really do find myself picking it up more than my other phones.
There are some features that I miss, like I really need Skype, and I would also like for there to be a way to keep WiFi enabled under lock, of course never by default. It helps with IMs. More colours for the tiles would be good for a change. In addition, some other things.
Since upgrading to Mango, I have been truly impressed. I got mine and my Dad's to upgrade first day before knowing there was a trick. Very impressed (there is that word again) with how smooth it went, Microsoft did a good job rolling this update out so far. As far as I know.
The new features have been easy to find, some are great and the voice commands mostly work for me. I say mostly because Voice-To-Text is seriously bad for me. Not sure if its just my accent or the whole thing is more a gimmick and only good for a couple of words. Its especially less accurate the longer the sentence gets.
My questions are, is anyone else experiencing this? Is it something that will improve more I use it? Could it be just down to how I pronounce things? Also, does anyone know if there is a way to tell the device that its got it wrong other than "try again"? Thank you all for any assistance and hope to become part of this community.
