anyone else think that MS made this great Peoples Hub with facebook built in and then made a facebook app that should be features of the Peoples Hub. Does anyone else think like me and that they should just add Notifications and Chat to the Hub so we dont have to have a seperate app and making there hub pointless lol

Well the Facebook app does have **** poor performance. I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem anymore come Mango. If they did add full integration however that would make things a whole lot easier.

i like the app a lot though, but i don't even use the people hub. glad they don't have notifications for it.

I never use the people hub unless I'm looking up a contact. I prefer the FB app.

i just dont see the point of giving the half done features in People hub to then switch and make a app. it just makes no sense its like they dropped the people hub but dident care it is our phonebook too

I just tried the people hub for Facebook use. Its pretty nifty, and loads much faster. I may start using it more. I guess I never used it because the FB app was there.

I enjoy the People's Hub. That being said, The people's hub is not Facebook is a contact list on steroids and it work with most social networks. I use both but the 3G on my country is so slow, it takes me a minute or so to load =(

The people's hub is my favorite feature on this phone. It completely changed the way my boss looked at WP7. Searching for contacts is easy and blazing fast and the presentation is slick.

i know the peopel hub rocks i just want all the features from the facebook app to work with it! i dont think thats too much to ask lol i mean they gave it to us and now it never gets updated and i think chat would work great on the hub, it could be like web os and show who was online next to there name or at least build in Messenger MS

That will probably happen when we get Mango and a good Messenger Client. I don't know what IM is since I don't live in USA but here Windows live messenger is a pretty big deal.

lol! That's a good one... Yeah to be quite honest, the only reason I like to use the people hub (apart from better performance) is because on the website it shows "via Windows Phone" on my status updates haha

I like to brag about my "From Windows Phone" Also. It really brings people's attention but not more so than "From Xbox Live". ( Still the best way to see pictures )

but that did make me want to use the people hub as well. could have sworn the fb app did the same. i always see my nephew have that sig on his Quantum... guess he's using the hub.

I thought the people hub was giving u glance of what's going on in Facebook. My hub just display random images from my contacts.


Ok, some of the pics are from people on Facebook, but its still just random. Not pics from people who recently updated.

The people hub should focus on the glance and go, get in and out aspect of the OS while linking to apps which provide deeper experiences for more hardcore users. That's basically how it works now, but with Mango bringing deep linking and multitasking I expect to see some really awesome execution come to fruition over time.

you'd be surprised how many people use places. my sis who isn't tech savy told me "hold on, lemme check in"... thought she was on 4sq and i was like "i know i didn't teach her the workings of that". then i saw it as a post on her fb wall.

i don't use it, but it's catching on at least with those around me that i know.

i'd rather it not be included... anything extra will probably slow it down somewhat, whether a lot or a little.

I use places all the time. But Wouldn't want it to clutter up the People hub.
