    If you go to the Pulse website on IE10 (Modern UI one), the thing looks astounding. It looks and feels just like any app and you can pin it to your Start screen and it just plain works wonderfully. What other high quality web based 'apps' like Pulse do you know of?

    Secondly once I have pinned the Pulse website to the Start screen, is there anyway to get it to sort of become a live tile with updates? If not I guess this is the major limitation of this setup?

    One beautiful mobile site is booking.com. I book there a lot and have been less than thrilled to see that they have a W8 app but no WP one, but the mobile site (m.booking.com) is almost exactly like the iOS app.
